Questions

The things people actually ask

Including the ones where the honest answer is a limitation.

Getting started

How long does it take to set up?
Creating the agency and your first client takes a few minutes. Importing creators from a CSV takes as long as the file does — it is validated and previewed before anything is written, with duplicates flagged. Connecting a shop depends on that platform’s own authorisation flow.
Do I need a card to start?
No. Signing up starts a trial. You are asked for a card when you choose a plan, and you must confirm your email address first — otherwise there is nowhere to send your receipts.
Can I import what I already have?
Creators import from CSV with validation, preview, duplicate detection and an error report for the rows that did not make it. Everything you put in can be exported again, in full, whenever you like.

Data and integrations

Which platforms does it connect to?
Integrations use each platform’s own published API, under permissions you grant. Where a platform does not expose a capability through its API, Aegis says so and gives you a compliant way to do that work manually. It does not scrape, bypass a rate limit, solve a CAPTCHA or automate an account that has not authorised it — and that is a design decision, not an oversight.
Where does creator data come from?
From what you import, what you record, and what connected platforms legitimately return. A field nobody supplied shows as “not recorded”. Aegis does not buy scraped audience data or fabricate a follower count to fill a profile.
Can my clients see each other?
No, and the separation is enforced by the database rather than by application code. Each client sees only their own brand in the portal; internal notes, margins and other clients are not merely hidden from the screen, they are unreachable.

AI

Will the AI make things up?
It is built so that it cannot pass off an invented figure as a real one. Answers are assembled from your own records, each number carries the row it came from, and a question the data cannot answer is refused with the reason rather than approximated. If you see a figure, you can open the thing it came from.
Will it act on its own?
Only within limits you set. Actions are classified by risk; anything material — money, a client-facing commitment, a large outbound send — waits for a person, and the approval is recorded with who gave it. Unsupervised autonomy is not on by default.
Is my data used to train models?
No. Every AI run records that it was sent with training opt-out in force, so it is a fact in the log rather than a promise in a policy. Prompts are not retained unless your agency turns that on.

Billing

How do payments work?
By debit or credit card, entered on our payment provider’s own secure page. Aegis stores the brand, the last four digits and the expiry — nothing that could be used to charge a card anywhere else. Your bank may ask you to confirm the first payment.
What happens if a payment fails?
You keep working. The workspace stays fully usable through a grace period while the provider retries and we ask you to update the card. Only after that does it become read-only — and read-only still means you can read and export everything. Nothing is ever deleted to make a point.
Can I downgrade?
Yes, and Aegis checks first. If the smaller plan has less room than you are using, it lists exactly what would not fit and refuses, rather than accepting the change and then blocking everything you do.
Do you offer refunds?
See the refund policy. In short: cancel any time and you keep the period you paid for; if something was charged in error, tell us and we will refund it.

The awkward questions

Is this just a Cruva clone?
No. Creator intelligence is one part of Aegis; the rest is the agency itself — campaigns, samples, content, client CRM, a client portal, profitability, capacity and reporting. The architecture, interface and code are original.
Will it guarantee more GMV?
No, and you should be wary of software that does. Aegis forecasts with intervals and confidence, and it will tell you when it does not have enough history to forecast at all.
What is not finished?
We report status on four levels: implemented, tested, verified against a live third party, and proven in production. Anything that has not reached the level you would assume is said so in the product rather than implied by silence. Ask us and we will tell you exactly where a capability sits.
